If you were allowed just 6 words for your life memoir, what would they be??  This is a true life reflection and one that defines the meaning of your life.  When I saw this question and understood the constraints, I knew I had to share it with you.  Below is the full background of the six words life memoir and I challenge you to develop one!

In November 2006, writer and editor Larry Smith issued a challenge to fans of his Web publication, SMITH Magazine. Inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s legendary shortest of short stories (“For sale: Baby shoes, never worn”), Smith asked his readers to describe their lives in six words. The Six-Word Memoir contest officially ended after a month, but the stories kept coming. Five years on, participants have contributed more than half a million mini-memoirs. Smith has published five compilations of the intensely personal accounts and continues his online quest to spark the creativity of aspiring writers. “There is inspiration everywhere,” he says. “Even if you don’t think you’re a storyteller, you are.”

Do you have one yet?  You can share your Six-Word Memoir at smithmag.net

For inspiration, check out the memoirs of O magazine readers (like us).  There are some awesome memoirs…

I wonder when our  spark of creativity or imagination begins.  It starts in early childhood.  You can clearly see the difference between children and adults.  Children embrace thoughts or ideas and just do it.  It’s an amazing thing to watch.  There isn’t the fear of failure or a time when it’s analyzed over and over to the point of re-calculations or first, second, or third drafts.  What you have is a child trying to have fun.  In that quest, he or she will think of ways to bring laughter and smiles to themselves and their playmate.  Imagination and creativity go hand in hand and children will surprise you with their CREATIONS.

With that in mind, I want to share with you the story of Caine’s Arcade.  Caine used his imagination and creativity to create a cardboard arcade that has made a global impact.  It has changed the way kids and families play together.  You want to know how?  Take a look at the video below.  You can even make a difference on a childs imagination!  Let’s keep those sparks burning….

I like looking at fashion runway shows and the new fashion trends. It’s interesting to see what we are supposed to be wearing and how that translates into what we actually wear. Now when it comes to men, most people think that male fashion trends are started on the runway or by fashion designers. Not so. Just look at the NBA stars walking into a basketball arena or during the post-game interview. There are a few NBA stars that definitely are showcasing their fashion know-how.
